Fig Oil stops dandruff!
Figs are rich in vitamins A and B, which help to soothe a dry, itchy scalp and bring it back to the proper PH level. Try a fig-infused treatment.
Recipe
1 Fresh fig
2 Tbs oil (olive, sweet almond or sunflower)
Pour the oil into a bowl. Place a strainer over the bowl and squeeze the juice of one fig into the oil. Massage the oil into your scalp and damp hair. Relax for 10-20 minutes. Shampoo and condition as usual. Yields one application.
Avocado - Kitchen beautician recipe.
Remove the skin and pit from half an avocado. Place in a blender with 2 Tablespoons olive oil and blend until smooth. Apply the mask through damp hair and put on a shower cap to trap body heat which helps the mask penetrate the hair shafts. Relax for 20 minutes, then shampoo as usual. Use this hair mask twice a week for silky softness.
Rosemary - Kitchen beautician recipe.
Warm 1/2 cup of olive oil with 3 sprigs of rosemary. Allow to cool. Dip your fingertips into the oil and make small circles on your scalp. Begin at your forehead working toward the back of your head, re-dipping fingers in oil as necessary. Relax for 15 minutes then shampoo as usual.
