Soothe redness with chamomile! new
Chamomile has natural anti-inflammatory properties that reduce redness, puffiness and irritation. Bonus: The flower's sweet scent also relaxes the mind and relieves anxiety!
Relax at home with a chamomile toner!
Brew 2 cups of strong chamomile tea (use 3 tea bags and steep for 10 minutes) Pour the liquid into a re-closable bottle and refridgerate. After cleansing your face, pour the toner over a cotton pad and sweep over the skin. Keeps for 2 weeks in the refridgerator.
Violet Milk Cleanser
Add 1 tsp. violet petals to 1/4 cup of milk. Heat gently until nearly simmering and keep heating gently until the milk is strongly violet scented. Strain, bottle and keep in the fridge. Use within three or four days. This makes a soothing oil free cleanser.
Oatmeal Facial
Mix dry oatmeal and water into a past and spread on face. Lie down and let it dry. Wash off with warm water. Excellent facial.
Battling breakouts?
Honey Face Wash!
Honey is one of the best natural ingredients for acne.
It has antibacterial properties that kill the bacteria that cause blemishes. And unlike harsh over-the-counter acne washes, honey attracts moisture so your skin won't feel dried out!
Recipe: Gently stir 1/4 cup honey, 1/2 cup water and 2 Tablespoons mild liquid soap. Pour into a bottle with a pour spout. Massage over damp skin. Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Keeps for 2 weeks if stored in a cool, dry place.
